Wild things – Wilderness festival

Family illustrations, Other family portraits

last week we went to Wilderness festival – our first festival with the kids in 3 years, since Rudy was a tiny 4 months old baby (much easier to go round with a sling than with a toddler!).

The beauty was spending 4 days in pure sunshine and in the excellent company of some of our dearest and nearest and their own friends…

The 21 of us camped together and our 10 kids in total just merged from the moment they met, which was just a joy to see.

As I drew the kids while they played in the kids field – Lola and Eliza were very keen to participate – this is where the idea came – I would leave it as a colouring in outline, so each kid could have their own copy or copies and do their own version…

I will of course do a coloured version myself, will post soon.

It’s not taken long to think that this bespoke colouring in portrait could be good – so watch out for more soon!

Karuski is the nom de pencil for me, Katherine Mengardon - I am a fan of all things 1960s, CAKES, obscure indie pop bands, children illustrations, bad puns and cats. Any spare time goes towards baking mad cakes, drawing families and catified musicians.
