It’s always very special to be asked to contribute to someone’s big day – and so it was the case here, when Janine contacted me to create a special wedding portrait for her little sister, ahead of the day itself.
For one thing, secrecy is important, on all parts. After all, I was given access to wedding dress fitting pictures, make up and hair trials, tiaras, flowers, suits and such – more than most people involved in the wedding itself would normally get to see before the event! And then the challenge is to create a composite from all the information to match as closely as possible to what the happy couple will look like on the day. And as anyone who has been through this will know, there is a lot that can happen between planning and the day!
So it’s a real pleasure to see that this portrait has captured Stacey and Darren, as well as their daughter (and pooch!) as much as I could hope.
